Physiofusion Food bank is supported by Lancaster Chamber of Commerce
During the festive season, we aim to help The Salvation Army provide emergency food and support for local people in crisis by providing a local food bank and we would love your support.
Not just across the North West, but across all of the UK, people are struggling to put food on the table, if at all. For those on low incomes, a sudden crisis – redundancy, benefit delay or even an unexpected bill – can mean going hungry. Every day parents skip meals to feed their children and people are forced to choose between paying the rent and eating. In even more severe cases, there are people that can’t even afford shelter, let alone a decent meal. Being homeless is an unacceptable circumstance for anyone at any time of the year, especially Christmas.
The festive season is often a time where family and friends come together to celebrate, exchange gifts and relax, but for some, it is a completely different story. We hope you are able to spare a thought for those less fortunate and help us to ease the strain on those that worry about putting food on the table or providing a shelter for themselves.
Foodbanks help to prevent family breakdown, housing loss, crime and mental health problems and at the very least, give people one less thing to worry about.
Our food banks will be available at each of our 6 clinics across the North West – Burnley, Padiham, Skipton, Barnoldswick, Lancaster and Bolton.
Available drop-off times for each clinic will be the same as opening hours. Please call your local clinic to check for opening times.
